Air casters

Support plates

Support plates are an essential part of modular air caster systems. They serve two key functions:

  • Provide rigidity.
  • Transport air from the source to the caster.

These functions make support plates indispensable for the reliable operation of air caster systems.

Capacity

500 to 80.000kg / 1.100 – 175.000lbs

Maximum working pressure

2 barg to 5 barg

Dimensions

300 mm to 1,500 mm

Different Types of Support Plates

The range includes three different types of support plates: ultra-thin, ultra-strong, and ultra-light. Each type is designed for specific applications.

Feature Ultra Thin Ultra Strong Ultra Light
Thickness Only 15mm, the thinnest support plate in the industry. 30 mm, the strongest support plate in our range 40 mm, the lightest support plate in the industry.
Material Solid aluminum. Aluminum extrusion profile. High-quality polypropylene
Size Available in all sizes up to 700 mm / 27 inches. Available in all sizes. Available in all sizes up to 900 mm / 36 inches.
Application Suitable for situations with limited installation space. Suitable for the heaviest loads. The most ergonomic solution when weight matters.

Features

Air transport. Ensures efficient airflow from the source to the air caster—essential for system operation.

  • Stability. Prevents the air caster element from deforming or bending under pressure, ensuring stability and reliability.
  • Air caster module. A support plate can be combined with an air caster and landing pads to create a complete air caster module, optimizing performance.
  • Different mounting options. Two variants—fixed mount and slide mount—allow modules to be adapted to specific requirements.

Mounting Variants

With modular air caster systems, we offer two mounting options: fixed and slide mount.

Fixed Mount

The air caster is permanently bolted to the support plate.

  • Advantage: Compact construction.
  • Disadvantage: The air caster is not accessible for inspection or replacement while the load is on the module.

Slide Mount

The air caster is placed in a cassette system.

  • Advantage: Allows access to the caster for inspection or replacement without having to remove the load.
  • Disadvantage: The module is slightly wider due to the cassette system.
