In November 2024, Aerofilm Systems celebrated a remarkable milestone: our 40th anniversary. For four decades, we have dedicated ourselves passionately to air caster technology, delivering innovative internal transport solutions. As a family-owned business, we are proud of our rich history and ongoing commitment to our customers.
From engineering firm to international specialist
Aerofilm’s story began in 1981 when Ruud van Brienen founded “Ingenieursburo van Brienen.” In 1984, Aerofilm Systems B.V. was established, further specializing in air casters and transportation solutions. We quickly expanded our local presence to Germany with LS Luftkissen Systeme GmbH (now Aerofilm Systems GmbH), ensuring optimal service for our German customers. In 2018, we took our expertise to North America by establishing Aerofilm Systems Inc. in Westfield, Indiana.
Thanks to our decades of experience and in-depth technical knowledge, customers worldwide trust us for customized solutions. Our headquarters in Eindhoven hosts our own production facility, where we design, develop, and produce everything in-house.
Family-owned with a passion for technology
Aerofilm has always remained a close-knit family company. After the passing of founder Ruud van Brienen, Jacco Driessen, already serving as Managing Director, became General Manager. Today, Jacco leads the company alongside Ruud’s daughter, Loes van Brienen. Meanwhile, the next generation is stepping up, as Jacco’s son Michiel is expanding Aerofilm’s presence in the United States.
Michiel’s passion for air casters started early, assisting with projects from a young age in Eindhoven. His involvement embodies Aerofilm’s strengths: personal attention and a passion for technology.
Family day: celebrating our Aerofilm family
To honor our 40th anniversary, we organized a special family day on November 2, 2024. Our employees and their families gathered for a day filled with enjoyment, connection, and appreciation. It was a wonderful moment to reflect on our collective achievements and look ahead to the future.
