Internal transport solutions and systems
Air caster transport is a way of movement in which a wafer-thin air film is created (and retained) between the Air caster and the floor through controlled leakage in the membrane. Floating your machine probably isn’t a goal. You want to move your machine as easily, safely and cost-effectively as possible and moving equipment with air is the ideal solution. For this you need at least 3 Air caster elements. By allowing the weight to float, these virtually eliminate friction. You can easily move your machine in a floating state. Compare it with a wheel, this can only be given a function if it is attached to something.

- Modular Air caster system. A flexible solution in which a system can be composed with four or six modules and with free choice in the caster type.
- Portable rigging kit. The ideal solution for transports up to36.000 kg. Delivered in an easily moved transport box.
- Heavy transport solutions. For weights above 100.000 kg.
- Air planks. Our Air caster planks each have two Air casters, which makes an ideal tool for moving difficult to approach set-ups like machines or seating stands.
- Air pallet. A plug and play solution for moving machine modules, pallets and other parts up to 10.000 kg.
- Roll mover. An out of the box solution for moving round objects up to 22,000 pounds — like paper rolls, reels, steel rolls or cable rolls.
Air casters can be integrated into transport solutions or a machine or machine part where movement is needed, during maintenance or to make a change in configuration. In some cases they can be used as an OEM part, but usually they’re used as a tool in a production or service environment.
To make Air casters more accessible, we offer a number of standard solutions that are cheaper and faster than our custom solutions. With these products you can still, to a certain extent, determine the size yourself, with which you can shape the solution to your movement problem.
With standard solutions you can determine the dimensions for a large part and the type of caster to be used. If you need help understanding whether a standard solution can work for your needs, our application specialists and engineers are ready to create a customized solution for you.
Internal transport solutions and systems
Do you want to move large, heavy or delicate objects easily, safely and ergonomically? Air casters can move and reposition high-tech equipment without any vibration. A laser can also be moved in a cleanroom, conforming to the cleanroom specifications. And what about the largest 900-ton transformer? This is easily moved to the test room. In addition to our extensive portfolio of Air casters, we have many special tools in our portfolio for moving heavy machines with air more safer, better and easier.
Drives
Air casters offer the possibility to float the largest weights with little effort and precise positioning. A few people can handle weights up to 10.000 kg together. With larger weights we recommend the help of a drive. This can be done with a forklift or pull tugger, if available. Air Jacks
Air jacks lifting bags help support Air caster usages in many ways. By inflating the bag, air jacks push something away. Force can be created to push something away, to push it apart or to clamp. A lifting bag can be used to lift a heavy object, so that an Air caster can be placed under it, for example.
It can also be used as an actuator, to press a wheel against the ground. You will also find these lifting bags in the Aerofilm roller mover. The lifting bags are installed under the legs of the transporter and then lift the roll off the floor when activated. Lifting bags have the ability to transfer large forces evenly. This relatively simple technology makes the lifting bag very reliable.
