When I moved from Portugal to the Netherlands, I started working at Aerofilm almost right away. From day one, I felt welcome. Even though we’re a small team and Dutch isn’t my native language, I was well supported. That’s not something you can take for granted, and I truly appreciate it.

I’m involved in the entire production process of B-cushions — from preparation and positioning to vulcanizing and pressing. I also occasionally assist with testing. The variety in tasks keeps my work interesting. No two days are ever the same.

What I enjoy most about my work? Figuring out what works best, how we can improve our processes and how we can achieve the best possible results. Taking on challenges gives me energy.

A special moment for me was the visit to Orca, one of our rubber suppliers. We ran a test using vacuum technology in an autoclave. In the end, it didn’t work as we had hoped, but it was a great opportunity to see how other companies operate and to experience the testing process firsthand.

Another highlight was our team trip to Dublin. It was great to connect with my colleagues in a different setting, outside of our usual work environment.
