Moving rolls and reels
Moving round objects like paper rolls, steel rolls, cable reels or baskets can be complicated. There are a few different challenges:
Different challenges
- The diameter of the roll can vary according to your or your customers’ needs. It is also possible to partially reel in or unwind the roll, for example when the need for the product changes.
- Not every product can be lifted easily. In some cases, there is a core through the roll where it must be lifted. In other cases, the reel must be picked up on the reel flanges
- Positioning of the roll can be challenging, if the roll must be placed in a machine, it sometimes has to be picked up on two sides. On wheels, it is necessary to move forwards and backwards several times before you are in the correct position.
