This also applies to relocations, positioning or movements of machines, parts, stocks or production lines. Different requirements are necessary for moving a ship’s engine in a dock than for moving a laser in a cleanroom. It can be quite a challenge to determine how your logistics issue can be answered as effectively as possible.

We’ve been successful in the following industries:
- Cable production. We have decades of experience producing, moving and storing cables for both the onshore and offshore industry. In our experience, optimization and cost reduction are the unique benefits that air and water casters provide for moving cable baskets, storage carousels and cable reels.
- Entertainment. Moving and positioning stages and seating modules must be done quickly and safely. Sometimes with and sometimes without an audience. The ability to move them quietly and without damaging the floors makes Air casters the ideal solution for the entertainment industry.
- Production environment. How nice is it when a production environment is completely standardized and everything can be produced on the assembly line? Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Especially for these exceptional situations, Air casters are an indispensable tool, offering flexibility to customers.
- Power distribution. Transformers have been produced on Air planks for many years. The transformers can be moved easily and safely on pallets through production and testing facilities.
- Power generation. Safely move large, heavy weights, such as windmills, turbines and engines. With ultimate freedom of positioning, these large objects can be easily maneuvered through narrow spaces and tight curves.
- Semiconductor. In a high-tech environment, machines can be moved safely and vibration-free, with high hygiene standards, even in climate-controlled (clean) rooms.

Air and weight in balance
With controlled air leakage, Air casters create a wafer-thin air film between the floor and the object to be moved. This floats the object and allows it to move freely. So free that when the air film is created the object “starts to float away” when the floor is not completely flat.
Moving heavy loads with Air casters can easily be done in a safe way, but certain precautions are necessary when moving heavy items. This is no different from heavy displacement with other techniques, such as heavy transport on wheels, by rail or with a crane. But these techniques are often limited in freedom of movement, whereas Air casters can move any item freely once it is floating on air. This is possible with smaller weights, in a controlled way, by hand. For larger weights a drive is necessary. This external drive is not so much needed to get the mass moving, but mainly to control the mass. Safety is of course paramount.
